Mike's Chili Recipe
- about 4 lbs browned ground meat, beef or combo of beef and pork
- 1-1.5 large yellow or white onion - diced & sautéed
- [optional] 2 cans beans as desired, pinto or other
- tomatoes, mix of crushed and diced canned - 3 large cans or 6 small total for 4lbs of meat, adjust as needed OR equivalent amount of fresh tomatoes
- fresh or pickled jalapeños (diced) or cayenne power or flakes
- 3-4 tablespoons chili powder
- 8 cloves fresh garlic (finely diced, pressed or crushed) or 2 teaspoons garlic powder - 2 teaspoons
- 3 teaspoons black pepper
- salt to taste
Combine all ingredients in crockpot, cook on high for a few hours and low for 2-4 more.
Serve with grated cheddar, sour cream, pickled jalapeños rings.
