| 1/2 C. | Chopped Onion |
| 3 Cloves | Garlic |
| 2 lg cans (#2) | Tomato Sauce (or puree) (or four 15oz cans) |
| 1 T. | Oregano |
| 1 tsp | Salt |
| 1/2 tsp | Pepper |
| 1 1/2 tsp | Allspice |
| 1 1/2 C. | Water |
| optionally for Meat Sauce | |
| 2 lbs | Meat (Ground beef, ground turkey, etc.), browned. |

Saute onions & garlic till clear, don't brown or burn. Add tomato sauce & water
(use water to rinse out tomato sauce cans). Bring to boil and set to simmer.
Add spices. Cook 30 min on simmer (slow rolling bubbles), stir frequently and
add meat. Cook 1 hr or longer till tastes cooked. Cook 1 hr more if you use
tomato puree.
